I started as Finance Operations Manager where I was for 18 months, I then moved to a completely different role where I set up a Commercial Finance Team from scratch (I was Commercial Finance Controller). I then moved back to the area where I first started but was promoted to Head of Finance. I have seen the Company double in size since I worked here (From £100m to £200m) and the Finance Team has grown from 6 people to almost 20!

I love the people I work with and I’m particularly proud of the Finance team we have built over the last 5 years. When I joined the Finance team was a small team of 6 and we have grown to almost 20. I also love the pace of change (although this can be one of the biggest challenges!) as it makes it a really exciting place to work – you never know what’s going to hit you on a day to day basis! In particular, I have really enjoyed being involved in setting up the USA Business from scratch – it’s been a steep learning curve, but I’ve found it really interesting – can’t wait for the store on 155 5th Avenue to open!

What is your favourite product and why?

My favourite is our bedding – I recently treated myself (with the help of the gift vouchers I received for my 5 year anniversary at The White Company) to the new range of 1,000 thread count Symons bedlinen range complete with the cosy faur fur throw and cushions in Mink which has kept me warm through the cold winter nights. I also have the luxury down topper which makes my bed feel like a hotel bed! SO comfortable! My guest bedrooms are all kitted out in White Company bedlinen and friends and family who come to stay always comment on the bedlinen in the guest bedrooms... And then hopefully buy the product!
